#Fitbit Rocks! Let Me Tell You How…

I completed my goal of 10,000 steps in the Goal Day challenge! #Fitbit

Yes Fitbit is the one you want! I’ve been procrastinating about sharing how cool  having a Fitbit device is but I just can’t keep it to myself any longer! Do you need motivation and reminders on your daily fitness goals? Well Fitbit is for you! Believe me they didn’t hire me to promote their product but I have been a proud owner of one of their devices since May of this year. It is a tool that you can use to set goals, track exercise, track your sleep patterns, measure your heart rate and your current steps for the day. Believe me it is more than a glorified pedometer.  You can also connect it to your phone via Bluetooth and everything is right there at your fingertips on your phone or tablet via the Fitbit app.

2 more things rock about Fitbit and it’s the community motivational aspect where you can connect with other Fitbit owners and challenge each other to meet your daily, weekly or weekend step goals. Not only that but you can challenge each other to a friendly competition of who will get the most steps during the course of a day, week or weekend too. It’s called a showdown. Competition always makes things fun and lastly they have the weekly progress report that gives you an update on how you did on your weight loss goals, sleep, calories, exercise, steps, etc… I absolutely love it.

What devices are you currently using to measure your progress weekly or to track the number of steps you are taking? Using either a device or a tracking mechanism is critical to your success. As my favorite saying goes you cannot manage what you do not measure.

TGIF! It’s Our 2nd Weigh In Day!

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you had a phenomenally healthy week! Today is day 20 of our 30 day challenge! That means we literally have 10 days left to meet our goal for August! Is it just me or does it seem like this month is going by so fast??? How are things going? What challenges are you running into? Today is our 2nd weigh in day for August so weigh first thing this morning and let me know how you did! I can’t wait to get your feedback! Email me at info@Monicaakerele.com and give me the 411! 🙂 Just know this whatever the scale says you are still a winner! Weight loss and getting healthy is not an event it is a journey! Rome was not built overnight! It is a process!!! So hang in there even if the scale doesn’t reflect the weight you hoped it would. Make the next 10 days on this month’s challenge count. Stay focused on your goal and make this weekend great, healthy and active!

Are You Motivated To Lose Weight? If Not Read This!

Happy Thursday!!!! It’s day 5 of our 30 day challenge! How are things going with you on the challenge? I pray things are going well. I know for some of you including me, sometimes you can get discouraged on your fitness journey. Every one of us have been at the place of discouragement & apathy concerning changing our eating & exercise habits. We have all tried to search for the motivation to get back into the game and finally be consistent on this journey to weight loss. So today I want to motivate you with several reasons why you should stay on track and eat healthier, exercise and/or lose weight. Here are some possible benefits below:

1) Your health picture will change dramatically

A) Reduce High Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Levels, Cholesterol

B) Increases Fertility in Women impacted by PCOS

C) Prevent or Reverse Type 2 Diabetes

D) Reduce the risk for developing Strokes, Colon Cancer & Heart Attacks

E) Improves Sleep Apnea

F) Improves breathing

G) Reduces the risk of developing other chronic diseases that are obesity related

2) You will live a longer & fuller life

A) Increase your probability of living long enough to see your children, grandchildren & great grandchildren grow up

B) You will have more energy & be able to remain active & travel freely without constraints

C) Reduction of the need for medicine & physical therapy

D) Be a great example & model for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members & friends

E) Save money in the long run since you will not need as much medicine or Hospital/Surgical visits

3) Boost in your mental/emotional health

A) Exercising actually helps you to relieve stress & tension

B) Increases your self-esteem & outlook on life

C) Reduces the risk for developing depression

4) Bring God glory with our Bodies!

Our bodies were given to us by God. We only get 1 so let’s do our best to keep it in great shape by being a good steward over it.

With God’s help, a made up mind & consistency You CAN do it! Let’s Get it!

Today I want you to think about what your goal is for this week. My goal for this week is to lose at least 2 pounds and to work out 6 days this week for at least 1 hour per day. I will sleep 7-8 hours and eat clean, sugar free all week long with NO exceptions! What about you??? I want to hear from you! Let’s make this week great & healthy!!! You CAN do it!!! Your 30 Day Challenge : 1 Week Down & 3 More To Go!

It’s Day 8 of our 30 Day Challenge and we have officially completed one week of it! How did it go for you? What challenges have you been running into? Please voice any concerns to me so we can come up with some solutions! I truly want each of you to be successful on this challenge.
