Implementing a ketogenic and active lifestyle will be helpful in you achieving your weight loss and health goals. This 30 day challenge includes 5 core areas of impact:

1) Ketogenic diet

2) Intermittent fasting (8 hour eating window of 12pm-8pm, 11am-7pm or 10am-6pm)

3) Consistent Exercise 3-5 days a week

4) Reducing Stress – #SelfCare is a must!

5) Getting adequate sleep daily (at least 7-8 hrs daily)

Self-Care Matters!!! #WorldMentalHealthDay

Happy #HumpDay! Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay!!! In light of that I thought it would be critical to share the importance of making #selfcare a priority. Self-care is key to you staying active & sharp in the game of life. One thing I’ve made a priority is exercising daily and striving to get at least 10,000 #fitbit steps in a day, eating healthier, getting adequate sleep and reducing stress. Why??? Not just for my physical #health but also for my #mentalhealth.

It has been proven that aerobic #exercise (walking, jogging, running, swimming, dancing, cycling..etc.) helps reduce depression, anxiety and helps in releasing feel good hormones that improve your mood. What are your self-care #goals for today? Remember its not just about your physical fitness but your mental and emotional fitness as well! If you are standing on the sidelines of #life, its time to get back in the game!

Our 2018 #Keto #30DayChallenge Begins Today!!!

Happy Tuesday! It is day 1 of our #Keto #30DayChallenge! I hope you are ready to hit the ground running this month!!! I’ve heard from many of you that you are going to commit to making dietary and exercise changes by adopting the #Ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting and by becoming more active! I know it may be a challenge to make these changes at first but these are powerful tools to get results. 0nce you begin seeing the results it will motivate you even more to stay on course.

Back at The Gym & in Goal Setting Mode for 2018!!!

#TGIF!!! I hope you are having a great time resting and enjoying this holiday season with your #friends and #family. Well I decided to go back to the #gym today to burn off ALL of these #Christmas holiday calories that I acquired! It’s ok to splurge for a day or so but don’t stay there! 🚫 Are you ready to join me on my next #Keto #30DayChallenge starting on 1/2/18!? I know I’m ready!!! By the #GRACE of God I was able to lose 35 pounds in 2017 but I’m believing and setting goals to reach my ultimate weight goal in 2018!!! πŸ’―

I also got out of the pre-diabetic range on my A1C, my total cholesterol numbers are normal and I dropped from a 3x to a L size in clothes. I don’t have to buy any more plus sized clothes!!! Goodbye Lane Bryant!✌🏾 My back, shoulder and hip pain is gone! As far as I’m concerned its been a pretty successful year health wise. I give glory to #God for it and I’m thankful that he opened my eyes to the benefits of intermittent fasting and eating a ketogenic diet. Our December #30DayChallenge Starts Today!!!

Welcome to our December 2017 #30DayChallenge! I’m excited that you are starting this month off right by taking this challenge with me! Can you believe that #Christmas AND the #New Year is right around the corner??? So let’s be absolutely intentional about meeting our #goals for this month!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

We will continue to eat a #Ketogenic diet that includes eating clean with no processed foods & no added sugar or starches. This also means eating moderate amounts of lean protein, generous amounts of healthy fats including nuts and seeds, coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, grass fed butter and more. We will also eat vegetables & low glycemic fruit such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries! Our other goals for this challenge is to exercise (3-5 days weekly), eliminate/reduce stress in your life and commit to getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep daily! In addition I recommend you switching to eating organic and/or Non-GMO food. Below are labels that show you how you can identify foods that are organic and/or Non-GMO.

If you are on the fence about starting this challenge do what you can. Start small by committing to exercising at least 30 minutes or more per day for at least 3 days per week and by eliminating all processed foods & added sugars.
