It’s #Goal Monday! What is Your Diet and Fitness Goal for TODAY?

It’s #Goal Monday and I hope you are ready to hit the ground running on a great & healthy day and week! As I highlighted in my last blog I believe it’s essential to take this #keto fitness journey one day at a time. Many of you have shared with me that you have tried many diets in the past but have failed simply because it’s difficult to maintain and sustain that way of eating. Many fad diets are extreme and unhealthy, but I truly believe and the research suggests that the ketogenic diet is healthy, sustainable and produces results.

Now back to our goals!!! What is your goal for today? As you can see in my infographic above my goal is to have at least 60 minutes of exercise, eat keto foods only & to get at least 7 hours of sleep tonight. When setting your goals start off small, especially if you haven’t been active in the past or if you are coming off of a long break. The biggest takeaway is to start where you are. Forget about yesterday and don’t worry about tomorrow. Stay present in this moment and do what it takes to meet your goals for today. God’s grace is sufficient for you for TODAY. You CAN do it!!!

Happy Monday! How are you all doing? After today we have 2 days left in our February Keto 30 Day Challenge!!! Are you ready for our final weigh in? We will weigh in on March 2nd and we will also start our March Keto and intermittent fasting challenge on that same day. I look forward to seeing what progress you have made this month. Our December #30DayChallenge Starts Today!!! — December 2, 2017

Our December #30DayChallenge Starts Today!!!

Welcome to our December 2017 #30DayChallenge! I’m excited that you are starting this month off right by taking this challenge with me! Can you believe that #Christmas AND the #New Year is right around the corner??? So let’s be absolutely intentional about meeting our #goals for this month!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

We will continue to eat a #Ketogenic diet that includes eating clean with no processed foods & no added sugar or starches. This also means eating moderate amounts of lean protein, generous amounts of healthy fats including nuts and seeds, coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, grass fed butter and more. We will also eat vegetables & low glycemic fruit such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries! Our other goals for this challenge is to exercise (3-5 days weekly), eliminate/reduce stress in your life and commit to getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep daily! In addition I recommend you switching to eating organic and/or Non-GMO food. Below are labels that show you how you can identify foods that are organic and/or Non-GMO.

If you are on the fence about starting this challenge do what you can. Start small by committing to exercising at least 30 minutes or more per day for at least 3 days per week and by eliminating all processed foods & added sugars.

It’s Time to Step It Up! Let’s Go!!! — March 6, 2017

It’s Time to Step It Up! Let’s Go!!!


Happy Monday! It is day 6 of our 30 day challenge and I am ready to get it in this week!!! What about you? I want to challenge you to step it up a notch this week. What do you mean Monica? Well I’m glad you asked!!!!

Step it up with:

  1. Exercise – Be consistent this week! Stick to your exercise plan!
  2. Diet – Eat clean, no processed foods &, no added sugar & no starchy carbs!
  3. Meal planning – Plan ahead & Cook ahead.
  4. Get an extra hour of sleep tonight. Turn in earlier to ensure you get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each day this week.
  5. De-Stress! Think about integrating aromatherapy into your health plan, invest in a diffuser and begin diffusing some therapeutic grade or organic grade essential oils such lavender, orange, peppermint, lemon, etc… Take a relaxing bath, go get a pedicure, go for a walk/run, pray. Practice a perpetual state of gratitude. As long as you have breath in your body that is more than enough to be grateful for. Call a friend that will uplift you and not bring you down. Read the Bible and/or some other inspirational book that will augment you towards your personal goals. Volunteer in the community. Connect with or any community service organization in your community and begin volunteering.
  6. Make a specific PLAN this week and schedule your exercise accordingly
  7. Get a workout partner and hold each other accountable
  8. If you haven’t had a physical/lab work done in over a year make an appointment today so you can know your health status (Blood pressure, A1C, Cholesterol, Thyroid and etc..)
  9. Think positively & profess I am statements daily. I am successful, I am healthy, I am consistent, I am going to exercise today, I am going to eat healthy today. I am going to meet my weight loss goals. Your words shape your life. Speak by faith what you want to see in your life. Throw those negative thoughts and confessions out of the window of your life forever!
  10. Last but not least! Don’t give up! You are worth this investment. Love yourself enough to see this process through to the end.

Get Inspired To Meet Your #Goals TODAY!Β 

Happy Monday!!!! It’s Day 9 of our #30DayChallenge how are things going? I hope you are staying on track and doing what is necessary to meet your goals! For a reminder of what the challenge is go to for the details! Guess what? I’m inspired today! Let me tell you why. I saw on Time Warner Cable News that a 93 year old woman, Harriette Thompson(will be turning 94 in March) is training to run in a marathon. She has had cancer 3 times and is still training for another marathon. She set the record for being the oldest woman to ever run in a marathon when she was 92 years old. To her age is truly nothing but a number!

What things do you need to push through to get up, active and focused on meeting your goals? Let this inspirational story inspire you to not give up, to keep pressing forward and to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
