TGIF Everyone! Today is Day 10 of our 30 Day Challenge for the month of April! I pray the challenge is going well and you are getting enough sleep, eating clean and exercising at least 3-5 days a week for 30-60 mins per session. Well today I wanted to share with you an important post from my BFF Shayla Scott. She has been on this 30 Day Challenge journey with me for about 1.5 years now and she is also my accountability partner. We all need someone in our lives that will challenge us, push us, encourage us and keep us accountable on this journey we call Life as well as on any worthy goal you wish to pursue. She is going to share with us the importance of our thought life as it relates to this 30 day challenge! Enjoy!
“While being in the best shape as physically possible is so important, it is not the only type of shape we should focus on. Everything starts with a thought. We actually frame our environment physically when we think certain thoughts. Dr. Caroline Leaf tells us that our brains process 400 billion thoughts per second! Wow! We are surely fearfully and wonderfully made. These thoughts build our surroundings and so it is so important that we shift any stinkin’ thinkin’ we may have acquired. It takes 21 days to shift the bad processes in our brains and restructure them. This can be the beginning of a beautiful territory for us. We can shift our physical bodies with what we eat and how we exercise but to maintain that healthy state it will take being mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. This all starts with a positive thought. If you have trouble consistently upholding positive thoughts, let us know so that we can encourage you! That is what we are here for! Remember, a lasting change starts from the inside and then continues outside. Ruby Dee said it best, “The kind of beauty I want most is the hard-to-get kind that comes from within—strength, courage, and dignity.” – Shayla Scott
