To Eat Or Not To Eat, That Is The Question!!! 

To eat or not to eat yes THAT is the question!!! Check out this article from Authority Nutrition that reveals the 15 unhealthiest junk food in America. After reading their article I am convinced more than ever to stay away from junk food. So what now??? As I stated on Friday I want you to share those healthy recipes or snack ideas that you found over the weekend (per my request). 

Tonight and/or tomorrow respond to this post with the recipe links, pictures of #healthy meals and/or snack ideas. If you haven’t found any go to Pinterest or Google some Paleo, Keto, Whole30 or Ketogenic recipes to generate some ideas to put into rotation. Let’s help each other stay away from this junk food listed on this post link below by sharing some healthy alternatives. Also below is a link to Dr. Axe’s Keto recipes! The Power Of ONE! #30DayChallenge 

#TGIF Everyone! How is this week going for you? It is day 3 of our #30DayChallenge and I want to know what is that #ONE thing you will relentlessly commit to change that will help you meet your goals for this month? Here are some examples to choose from:

1) No processed foods

2) Eat Organic

3) Eat Non-GMO

4) Exercise (3-5 days per week)

5) Sleep 8 hours daily

6) Eliminate stress

7) Eat more vegetables

8) No sugar outside of fruit

9) Stay away from artificial sweeteners

10) No sodas this month

11) No fast food this month

12) Track all of my meals in #MyFitnessPal

13) Commit to getting at least 10,000 steps daily

14) Get a #Fitbit or another fitness tracker & use it daily!

15) Whole30 food plan

16) Paleo food plan

17) Intermittent Fasting

18) Get an accountability partner to help me stay on track

19) Join a gym – #PlanetFitness #AnytimeFitness #FitnessConnection #9Round #GoldsGym #CrossFit #WorkoutAnytime #LAFitness #OrangetheoryFitness etc…

20) Go to a dietitian or a nutritionist to get a customized food plan.

21) Go to the doctor for a full physical (including blood work) to find out my full health status and make adjustments based on the results.

Respond to this post with the #ONE thing you will change and be committed to for the rest of this month! Sometimes we can get lost in the details of a #30DayChallenge but if you will at least focus on mastering #ONE thing this month, then you will begin to truly make some real & permanent progress. ONE step at a time, ONE day at a time… Let’s get it!

Your December 2016 #30DayChallenge Starts Here!!!

Happy Thursday & welcome to our December 30 day challenge! Can you believe that we are already in the last month of this year!!?? Wow 2017 will be here before we know it! So I think the time is absolutely right to get a head start on your new year 2017 weight loss goals! This month there will be 3 challenge options:

1) 30 days of no added sugar outside of fruit. No pasta, no rice, no bread and no potatoes. So you eat lean meat, vegetables, fruit, Greek yogurt with no added sugar (Dannon Triple Zero), beans, nuts, hummus, eggs, green tea, herbal teas, black coffee, almond milk, protein powder for smoothies. Limit dairy where at all possible.

2)Paleo Diet – Pretty close to #1 but no beans and some nuts are eliminated. Check it out at http://ultimatepaleoguide.com/paleo-diet-food-list/

3)If you want to go hard like me  incorporate some intermittent fasting. Check it out here at http://www.leangains.com This is not a diet it is an eating pattern where you eat clean from 12pm-8pm and fast intermittently from 8pm-11:59am. Eating this way allows for you to burn more fat and get leaner in the process, it also helps reduce inflammation, helps reduce insulin resistance & aids in eliminating toxins from the body. I am a witness that this works. I lost 8 pounds in November from following this eating pattern. 

Whatever you decide to do this month is totally up to you! The ultimate goal of this challenge is this:

Eat Clean! No processed foods!
Get Sleep! 7-9 hours of sleep!
Exercise! 5 days a week for at least 30-60 mins each session! Try to include both cardio and strength training in each session alternating the muscle group worked daily.

So let’s get it in my friends and make this month of December Healthy, Active and Stress Free!!! 💯

It’s April FIT Day!

Happy April FIT Day! You are definitely NOT a fool! Because It’s a NEW Month! A NEW Day! A NEW Challenge & YOU are 1 step closer to a NEW YOU! So Let’s get it!!!
 
I am happy to announce that there are 3 challenge options for this month:

Green Smoothie Diet: This is a 10 day detox/cleanse that can jump start your weight loss at the beginning of the challenge. I and some friends of mine have tried this and have lost 5+ pounds each time we do it. What you decide to do this month is up to you. I will more than likely do a combo of all 3 above. The ultimate goal of this challenge is this.
 
Eat Clean! No processed foods!
