What are you thinking? The Power of a Renewed Mind!


It’s day 11 of our challenge and I have a question to ask you. What are you thinking? What is on your mind concerning this challenge & what you can do to stay committed to the process? First of all how bad do you want to lose weight, get physically fit & be healthier overall? I am sure the answer is that you definitely want this more than almost anything. So why does this desire not translate in to action or sustainable/continued action on your part? The answer lies in the way you think. If you are going to be successful at this challenge or any diet or fitness program you’ve got to change your mind. The Bible says that “As a man thinks so is he”. So what we do and how we live is a function of our thought life. Until you overcome the doubt, unbelief, & lack of faith in your ability to be successful in losing weight you won’t do it. You have to believe that you can do this. When I began my journey to weight loss I had to start right there in my mind. I had to dismantle all of the doubt & unbelief that I had accumulated throughout the years where I failed time after time. This time I released my faith & declared that this time will be different. This time I am not doing it in my own strength I am depending on the grace (strength – empowerment – enablement) of God to help me to reach my goals. I believe by Faith that I can do ALL things through Christ that gives me strength. And just as he has strengthened me He can strengthen you on your journey.

I also believe its important to read and hear resources that will help renew your mind concerning your health. I highly recommend listening to the podcasts from The Nutrition Diva & The Get Fit Guy. They provide great inspiration and ideas to get you going.
