July brings sunshine, vacations, and… scorching temperatures!!! It’s easy to let healthy habits fall by the wayside during this summer months. But prioritizing self-care in July is more important than ever. Here’s how to stay cool, energized, and feeling your best all month long:
- Prioritize Sleep: Long, restful nights are essential for beating the heat. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day.
- Fuel Your Body: Nourish yourself with healthy, whole foods. Eliminate ultra processed foods and opt for organic, non-GMO ingredients whenever possible. This will give your body the nutrients it needs to function at its best and keep you energized throughout the day.
- Stay Active & Cool: Don’t let the heat stop your workouts! Choose cooler times of the day to exercise or opt for indoor activities like strength training.
- Self-Care Essentials: Make time for activities that de-stress and rejuvenate you. Whether it’s reading a book, taking a relaxing bath, drinking a nice cup of tea, or spending time in nature, incorporate self-care practices into your daily routine.
