We have reached the end of this month’s motivational challenge to Eat Clean Keto, Exercise, incorporate Intermittent Fasting, practice Self-Care to help reduce stress and to get adequate sleep! How did that go for you? What barriers and successes did you experience? I want to close my last blog post for the month of February 2020 to focus on the importance of our heart health. February is American Heart Month and it’s extremely important because Heart Disease is the #1 cause of death in the United States. The infographic below from the CDC shows the data for the top 10 causes of death in the United States of America.
What can you do to prevent Heart Disease? The American Heart Association has adopted a “GO RED for Women” mantra that gives you healthy tips to help aid you in the Heart Disease prevention fight.
So what is the best diet to implement for a healthy heart? According to Dr. Eric Berg, (one my favorite Keto/IF experts) it is a Ketogenic diet. Check out his article on this in the link below and the video embedded in it for a quick look on what causes Heart Disease and what you can do to prevent it. It is a must read/see!!! 💯
Even when this month ends we need to continue to “GO RED” throughout the year so we can prevent Heart Disease in our lives and teach and model these healthy habits for the generations that follow us. It’s time to break the cycle of this silent killer! ♥️
