Happy Wednesday Everyone! It’s day 10 of our 30 Day challenge and I’m super excited by all of the responses I’m getting on how well the challenge is going. So far on the first week there has been an average loss of 3 pounds amongst those who of you who have responded on your progress so far. That’s absolutely awesome! As for myself I have lost 4 pounds in one week!!! Praise God for that!!! So let me ask you… What have you defined as possible in your life? Do you think its possible for you to lose weight? Do you think its possible for you to change your eating habits and begin to eat clean? Do you think it’s possible for you to exercise at least 3-5 days weekly for at least 30-45 mins? Well “As a man or woman thinks in his (or her) heart so is he” (or she) – Proverbs 23:7. Change begins in your mind. You have to renew your mind and redefine your possibilities. I believe its possible for you! Nothing is holding you back but you! So let’s do a 180 & change our mind, so we can change our direction and get on the right path. Make this challenge a priority and don’t forget to get at least 8 hours of sleep nightly also. It can make such a big difference in your overall health and progress. Let’s go Ya’ll!!! Happy Monday Everyone!!! Its Day 8 of our 30 day challenge! It’s also time for our 1st weigh in!!! Tuesday I want you to weigh yourself in the morning after you have used the bathroom. Send me a message at info@onicaakerele.com and let me know how you did weight loss wise. Even if you did not lose any weight I want to hear from you to see how you are doing and to see what advice I can give to help you along the way. So you have officially completed the 1st week of this challenge! Now that’s awesome! How did your 1st week of eating clean go? My first week was challenging but I made it through!!! All I know is quitting is not an option for me. What about you? What is the one thing you will do differently this week that will ensure that you will have a successful week this week? As for me my plan for success is to plan for my meals in advance and to stick to that plan, no deviations & absolutely no substitutes! Share with me your plan of action and let’s get it!!!

I’m back!!! Your Next 30 Day Challenge Starts Now!!!

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July holiday weekend!!! I know I did probably a little too much food wise LOL! Well now that we have that behind us tomorrow, Monday July 7, 2014 is the start of our next 30 day challenge! You have 2 options on this challenge you can do what I’m going to do and that is Eat Clean for 30 straight days that means no processed foods, no sugar, no artificial sweeteners & no white or brown carbs. So basically what you can eat is meat, vegetables, fruit, unsweetened Greek yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, beans, nuts, hummus, seeds, black coffee, tea & water!!! The other 30 day challenge food option is to do the same as the above but you can have brown carbs once per day so that includes whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice or sweet potatoes.

In addition you commit to working out at least 3-5 days a week for at least 30-60 minutes with at least 2-3 days a week of strength training exercises. I personally recommend you do some type of circuit workout that includes both strength and cardio within the scope of the workout. I also challenge you to sleep at least 8-9 hours per night. Experts in the health & wellness field recommend that amount of sleep for overall wellness and to aid in weight loss. Did you know that if you get less than 8-9 hours of sleep per day that it will actually work against your weight loss efforts? Yes it is true! So let’s make getting sleep a priority going forward.

Monday morning please weigh yourself so you can get your starting point. Also take a picture of yourself & if possible measure yourself today. Lastly download the MyFitnessPal app and track your food intake daily to ensure you are staying within your daily calorie allotment. Make sure you add me as a friend on there so I can check on your progress along the way! So let’s get ready, get set and let’s go on this next 30 day challenge starting tomorrow! I’m here to support you! Let me know what questions you have! If you haven’t already please make sure you have your doctor’s consent prior to starting this or any other diet & exercise challenge.
