It’s Day 28 of our 30 Day Challenge!  What is going on in your diet & exercise world? I hope all is well & that you are staying focused on meeting your goals. We literally have 3 days left so do what you need to do in order to finish strong!

As for me this challenge has been the most challenging of them all but I’m still in it to win it. What about you? I went hard in the gym today. Lately I’ve been on the road too much to really focus like I normally do to get a consistent workout in. But it’s time to lay all the excuses to rest and just get it in! Are you with me?

Great day it’s Day 24 of our 30 day challenge and we are getting down to the wire! It’s the morning after weigh in day. So how are you feeling? How did weigh in day go for you? Well for me it went pretty good. I lost 2 more pounds! Yay!

So I know mentally & emotionally you could be feeling a plethora of things regarding what the scale said. If you lost weight you may be pumped or hard on yourself wishing you lost a little more. If you maintained you may be thinking well at least I didn’t gain weight or man I didn’t lose anything! Or if you gained weight you might be thinking, I’m not good at this weight loss thing and you might feel like giving up BUT don’t you do it!

Remember the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but to the one that endures until the end… So stay in this until the end. Let’s make this last week count! I hope everything is going well. If not re-focus and get back consistent with the challenge. You owe it to yourself to do so.

Well my friends make it a healthy, active & great day! Be sure to eat clean & exercise today and this weekend! Prepare ahead of time & stick to the plan in order to stay on course! Also be sure to go shopping and get a week’s supply of items for your meals and snacks next week. Remember if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. But we are not having that are we? No!

The Struggle Is Real But You Can Still Lose Weight!

It’s weigh in day & day 16 of our #30DayChallenge! How did it go? What progress have you made so far? I want each of you to send me a status on where you are. Even if you have not lost any weight I want to know what is going on with you. If there are any barriers or issues we will deal with them.

Whatever barriers are in place we have to tear them down. We may have to get creative with our approach & it might require some sacrifice but nothing happens with out consistent effort being made on your part. I won’t front this is not easy even for me LOL. However I am in this to win this battle over obesity & so are you!

You don’t have to stay victim to the lies that say you cannot do this my friend. I know you can! Believe me if I can you can too & that’s not just a cute catch phrase. That’s real! You see I have been obese since the age of 8. I don’t know what it’s like to be under 200 pounds. So I know the struggle. The struggle is real! But by God’s grace & consistent effort at the end of this challenge I will meet that milestone & so will you!

Set Realistic Goals to Ensure Your Success!

It’s Day 15 of our #30DayChallenge and I’m excited to say that we have officially made it halfway through the challenge!!!! How awesome is that?  How are things going for you?  What challenges do you need help overcoming? Either respond to this post or send me a private message.

Thursday is our weigh in day so please plan on weighing in 1st thing Thursday morning after using the bathroom first of course. Once you weigh yourself send me a message letting me know your status and go to MyFitnessPal and update your weight there as well so we can all celebrate the success you have made so far.

It is important for you to set some goals during this challenge. It is a healthy goal to strive to lose at least 1-2 pounds per week.  If you lose 4-8 pounds on this challenge then you are doing great! If not then you will want to take it up a notch by increasing your exercise and making sure you are staying within your daily allotted calorie target that MyFitnessPal set up for you when you registered. Double check in your settings that you have it set up for you to lose 2 pounds per week. Remember also not to eat your exercise calories. 

Let’s make these last 2 weeks on the challenge great! You can do it!!!!

Shopping Tips To Ensure Your Weight Loss Success!

Great Day Everyone! I hope you plan on making it a great day! It is officially Day 12 of our 30 day challenge! It’s hard to believe that it’s actually been 12 days already! So how are things going? Are you staying committed to the plan? I sure hope so! So since it’s Sunday I thought it would be appropriate to speak to the importance of staying completely stocked with healthy foods. So here are some tips!

1) Go shopping weekly:
Because you are eating clean you will want to shop once a week and get enough for at least 7 days. Especially because you want to make sure you have everything you need to have a successful week. Also you don’t want to go beyond a 7 day supply so you can ensure that your food supply does not go bad.

2) How you shop in the grocery store is key:
When you’re shopping you want to make sure that you only go around the perimeter of the store in other words stay on the outside lanes moving from the deli section to the fruit & vegetable section, the meat section the dairy section and on to the freezer section for frozen fruit and vegetables. With the exception of going to the aisle for beans, nuts, olive oil, peanut/almond butter, packaged fruit & etc. that is on your approved 30 day challenge food list.

3) Why is this shopping process so important?
The reason this is key is so you will always have an ample food supply of healthy food on deck to reduce the temptation to get unhealthy food on impulse. If you get tempted you can go in your fully stocked food pantry and grab something that can satisfy that craving guilt free.

4) One final but important note:
As important as it is to ensure that you have and keep a healthy food supply on a weekly basis it is also equally important to make sure that you purge your house of unhealthy food. If it is in your house that is going to be a source of temptation. So completely purge your house of any temptations that could possibly get you off track! Let’s have a successful week. You CAN do it!
